To continue the constant stream of players committing to West Virginia, Washington transfer safety Justin Harrington announced his commitment to join the WVU football program on social media on Friday afternoon.

West Virginia just sent Harrington an official offer on Jan. 6.

Harrington, a 6-foot-3, 209-pound defensive back, began his college football career way back in 2018. He then spent two seasons at a junior college before transferring to Oklahoma in 2020.

After only experiencing one full season with Oklahoma, Harrington transferred to Washington for the 2024 season. Harrington’s best season with the Sooners came in 2022 when he played in 13 games and totaled 23 total tackles while adding two pass breakups and one interception.

He suffered a season-ending injury in 2023.

Harrington recorded just three total tackles in eight games with Washington in 2024.

He will have one year of eligibility as a Mountaineer.
