Former Randy Moss Award Winner Commits to Transfer to WVU Football
A West Virginia native is coming home to become a Mountaineer. Youngstown State transfer wide receiver Cyrus Traugh committed to join the WVU football program on Sunday.
Traugh, a Parkersburg South product who caught 84 passes for 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns as a Randy Moss Award winner during his illustrious high school career in the state, comes to WVU with two more years of eligibility.

After seeing limited time as a freshman at Youngstown State, he became as a top target for Penguins in 2024. Traugh made 36 receptions for 509 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns.

Pat White was largely responsible ignored coming out of high school, and except for LSU, who wanted him as a safety. Maryland withdrew Steve Slaton’s scholarship offer the day before he was to leave for College Park.
Coach Rod and his staff will coach up these portal transfers, regardless of where they come from.
