Former WVU Basketball Player Transferring from Temple

Former WVU F Taj Thweatt is entering the transfer portal again, as reported by Verbal Commits on Thursday afternoon. Thweatt spent the past two years at Temple, redshirting one and playing this past season.

Thweatt averaged 0.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.3 minutes per game for the Owls.

Thweatt spent two seasons at West Virginia from 2020-22 before transferring to Coastal Carolina. Thweatt played 12 games at WVU, averaging 0.6 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists.

The Wildwood, Nj. native was recruited to WVU as a three-star prospect. Thweatt was in the 2020 recruiting class with Isaiah Cottrell and Seny N’Diaye, who both departed from the program in 2022.
