Forward Evans Barning Jr. has reclassified from 2026 to 2025 and will join WVU Men’s Basketball this season. This move completes the roster for WVU.

Barning, who is originally from Toronto, Canada, played high school basketball in New Jersey. He also competed at the AAU level for Team Durant this summer, averaging 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Barning joins guard Amir Jenkins at WVU, who also reclassified from 2026 to 25.

The commitment from Barning will complete the 2025 roster for the Mountaineers. Head Coach Ross Hodge mentioned his plans to fill the 15th spot in a press conference on July 24.
