Evans Barning Jr. Completes WVU Basketball Roster
WVU Men’s Basketball has officially signed forward Evans Barning Jr., filling the final roster spot for the 2025-26 season.

Barning, who is originally from Toronto, Canada, played last season at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. He has 10.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last year.
He also competed at the AAU level for Team Durant this summer, averaging 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
“Evans is a versatile forward with great length and athleticism,” Head Coach Ross Hodge said in a release. “He’s been well-coached throughout his career and has played with other high-level players. His character and willingness to be coached will allow him to continue to grow as a player here at West Virginia. We are excited to have him join us in Morgantown.”
