Two West Virginia products were the focus of attention for the Seahawks on this NFL Sunday.

Geno Smith put together another solid game to lead Seattle to the win. But he wasn’t the only Mountaineer Seahawks fans were excited to see. Bruce Irvin made his debut for his third stint in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle activated Irvin for the game after signing him to their practice squad last week.

He recorded just one tackle in a limited role. As for Smith, his role continues to be anything but limited. And typical of his resurgent season, the WVU Sports Hall of Famer was efficient, completing 20 out of 27 passes for 210 yards in the air. He threw two touchdown passes and posted a rating of 105.5 while also running for 7 yards.

Seattle drafted Irvin with the 15th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. He spent his first 4 pro season in Seattle, appearing in two Super Bowls and winning one, before signing with the Raiders. Prior to this game, Irvin had not played in the NFL since appearing in 6 games for Chicago last season.

Geno Smith Achieves NFL History for Efficiency

Smith remains one of the most prolific players in school history as the all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns leader with 11,662 yards and 98 touchdowns. He played from 2009-12 before being a second round selection by the New York Jets.
