A GoFundMe donation page has been created for former WVU F Gabe Osabuohien, who was involved in a car accident over the weekend. Click here to help Osabuohien out.

From GoFundMe organizer Dan Fox, who graduated from WVU in 2011:

“As many have heard over the past couple of days. One of the most beloved Mountaineers in recent history Gabe Osabuohien was involved in a serious car accident this past weekend, leaving him in the hospital.

We will not get into the full extent of Gabe’s injuries, but Gabe has two broken vertebrae bones next to his spinal cord, concussion, broken nose, and pieces of glass shards lodged in his back, and other injuries.

WVU takes care of our own, and we have started this fundraiser to assist Gabe in a speedy and successful recovery.

Gabe has a few tough months ahead as he rebuilds his body and with that he will not be able to play in the summer league. Anyone that knows Gabe, understands what a wonderful young man that he is and the love he has for WVU.

Our goal is to assist Gabe this summer in medical bills and weekly living expenses until next season starts. We will update accordingly and provide pictures when possible.

We ask our WVU family for help and prayers in this tough time. Any dollar amount donated is very much appreciated.”
