Highly Regarded 2027 CB Dominated at WVU Football 7-on-7 Camp
Ashton “Ace” Alston was among the notable recruits who attended a WVU football camp and competed in a 7-on-7 competition. And as one of the top defensive backs in the 2027 class, Alston also had pressure to show up and perform.
Alston showed off and impacted the game on both sides of the ball. He had four picks and even scored a touchdown, leading his team to a win on Tuesday while getting a chance to play on Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.
Alston posted about his dominance and overall experience along with a video with highlights on social media.

Listed at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, Alston attends Anderson High School as a Cincinnati, Ohio native. He’s one of the most highly regarded and highly coveted prospects out of Ohio.
Ranked as a consensus top five cornerback in the state, top 10 corner in the country and even a top 100 players nationally by major recruiting services and , Alston is already stockpiling offers from Power Four programs all over.
Alston’s offer list includes Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Pitt, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin among many others.
