Hofstra Transfer Jaquan Carlos Contacted by West Virginia

Hofstra transfer guard Jaquan Carlos has been contacted by West Virginia, he tells 247 Sports Dushawn London.

Carlos has also heard from DePaul, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Providence, San Diego State and Washington since entering the transfer portal on March 25.

Carlos (6-foot) averaged 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists through 33 games for the Pride this past season. Carlos shot 41% from the field, 34% from three and 89% from the free throw line. The Brooklyn, Ny. native has been on the All-CAA Defensive Team the past two seasons, averaging 1.6 steals this year.

Carlos has one year of eligibility remaining.

West Virginia most recently contacted Saint Louis transfer Gibson Jimerson, who appeared in 132 games for SLU over five years, scoring over 1,800 points in five years. Jimerson has had 14 games of five or more three-pointers during his career.

WVU has landed one transfer commitment in Tucker DeVries so far this offseason while losing just Seth Wilson (G) so far. The Mountaineers also plan on hosting Conor Enright (G – Drake) and Toby Okani (F – UIC) for visits this month.
