Huggins Snags 2019 Recruit

The 2018 recruiting class for the Mountaineers has yet to make it to campus, but that hasn’t kept head coach Bob Huggins from tapping into the Cincinnati recruiting pipeline to secure a target for 2019.

On Tuesday afternoon, Moeller (OH) point guard Miles McBride took to Twitter to announce his verbal commitment to West Virginia.

McBride visited Morgantown during the Mountaineers’ contest against Texas and received an offer. The junior guard also held offers from Dayton, Miami (OH), Akron, and Kent State.

A two-sport athlete, McBride suffered a foot injury during a football game in September, sidelining him for his junior campaign. As a sophomore, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound combo guard led the Crusaders to the state championship game, averaging 10.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
