Knicks Fans Call More Minutes For Miles McBride During Preseason

During the New York Knicks first preseason game on Tuesday night, the fans were calling for former WVU guard Miles “Deuce” McBride to get more playing time. McBride was trending on Twitter during the Knicks 117-96 win over the Detroit Pistons.

McBride finished with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and six steals.

 

McBride is preparing to begin his second season in the NBA for the New York Knicks. The Cincinnati native finished a successful Summer League stint, leading the Knicks to the finals. According to Basketball ReferenceMcBride will earn $1.5 million during the 2022-23 season.

McBride played at West Virginia from 2019-21, appearing in 60 games for the Mountaineers. McBride averaged 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists. In his sophomore season, McBride was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, as he led WVU to a No. 3 seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
