Line Opens with WVU as Big Underdogs Against Texas on Road

Despite both teams sitting at 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play, odds makers seem to like Texas to beat West Virginia convincingly when the two teams meet this Saturday in Austin, Texas.

Texas is currently favored by as much as 11 points over the Mountaineers. Circa Sports has an 11 point spread edge for the Long Horns while Fan Duel is giving WVU a bit more of a chance on the road with an 8.5 advantage for the home team.

The Long Horns are now 2-2 after a loss to Texas Tech in overtime. Prior to their loss to the Red Raiders, Texas was ranked No. 22 with their only loss being a 1-point heartbreaker to Alabama. The game saw Texas Tech outscore Texas 13-3 in the fourth quarter and overtime combined.

On the other hand, WVU, also now 2-2, is coming off their biggest win of the season and a successful defense of the Black Diamond Trophy over Virginia Tech (2-2, 1-0 ACC) in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The game will be broadcasted nationally on FS1 and is set to kickoff at 7:30 pm.
