Lingafelter Day-to-Day

Published

on

After head coach Dana Holgorsen announced that the previously suspended Marcus Simms is “ready to roll” against East Carolina, he delivered even more good news to the Mountaineers fan base during Tuesday’s press conference.

During the second quarter of Sunday’s game against Virginia Tech, redshirt senior offensive lineman Grant Lingafelter suffered an apparent leg injury and required an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

“He’s alright,” Holgorsen said when asked about his starting guard. “He’s day-to-day right now.”

Lingafelter has served as a reserve lineman over the past three years but is counted on to be a key starter on this season’s offensive line. If Lingafelter is unable to play in the upcoming game this Saturday, look for freshman Josh Sills to step up in his place.

Stay tuned to DubVNation as we keep you updated all season long on the Mountaineers.
