WVU Offers Offensive Tackle

Published

on

West Virginia gave offensive tackle and 2019 recruit Andrew Kristofic an offer and he is “excited.” This offer from the Mountaineers makes his sixth offer thus far. Other schools that have come calling include Pitt, Michigan State, Toledo, Akron and Buffalo.

The 6’6″ 255 – lb tackle is the son of former Pitt offensive lineman David Kristofic (1989-1993).  Although his father was a Panther it doesn’t necessarily mean he is going to Pitt.

“I want to see what other teams have to offer.”  He has always seen Pitt and wants to see what else is out there.  In talking with Andrew, you can tell wherever he decides to go, he will go to a program that fits best for him.

West Virginia could be at an advantage.  Andrew’s High School runs the same style of offense. “They spread the ball.” He also commented that “West Virginia is always on his mind, being so close to home.” Andrew attends Pine-Richland High School just north of Pittsburgh.

Andrew is athletic and physical on the offensive line.  He is quick to the outside on screens and can get downfield to the second level to make a block to give his ball carrier that extra space needed to make a big play.  Once he engages a defender, they do not get away, they either end up on their back or they are bullied down the field.

Andrew has not set a visit date, but looks forward to making a trip to Morgantown.
