WVU Basketball revealed their new black uniforms prior to the Backyard Brawl versus Pitt. The uniforms incorporate the black, gold and blue together with “West Virginia” across the chest.

West Virginia has not worn black in basketball since the early-2010s. The infamous uniforms are mostly remembered for the 2010 run to the Final Four. That team’s leading scorer, Da’Sean Butler, is currently an assistant for the Mountaineers. West Virginia has teased the return of the black uniforms for the last week.

WVU will welcome Pitt for the 190th edition of the basketball Backyard Brawl. West Virginia enters the game on a six-game winning streak dating back to 2012. Pitt, who returned to the NCAA Tournament last season, looks to spoil the fun at the WVU Coliseum on Wednesday. West Virginia and Pitt will tipoff at 9 p.m. on ESPN2.
