Marshall Receives Public Reprimand for Flyover Before Win Over Virginia Tech

Marshall might be coming off a win, but their conference isn’t happy with the Thundering Herd.
Why is the Sun Belt upset? Well, the conference has issued a public reprimand to Marshall for their flyover before the game. The issue is a drone flew over the field while squad members were present.

Marshall, at least, isn’t the only school to receive this message from the Sun Belt. JMU also earned a reprimand from the conference for a similar infraction on Saturday.
Below is the exact statement with further explanation from the Sun Belt.
“The Sun Belt Conference issued public reprimands of James Madison University and Marshall University due to violations of NCAA rules during their respective football games on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The violations resulted from the in-game use of communication equipment in the team area for James Madison and a drone flying over the field when squad members were present during team introductions for Marshall.
The Sun Belt Conference considers this matter concluded.”
There’s no word on anything beyond just a reprimand being sent to Marshall. And no reprimand changes the fact the Thundering Herd are undefeated at 3-0 and beat rival Virginia Tech 24-17 on Saturday.
