Next week’s WVU football game against Baylor will kick off at 4 p.m. from Milan Puskar Stadium and be broadcast on ESPN2, the Big 12 conference announced Monday.

West Virginia (4-4, 3-2 Big 12) travels to Cincinnati this Saturday while Baylor (5-4, 3-3) is on a bye.

WVU is 8-4 all-time against the Bears, including a perfect 6-0 record in Morgantown. The Mountaineers have won two straight tightly-contested matchups against Baylor, 43-40 in 2022 and 34-31 last season.

WVU is coming off an eventful off week which saw head coach Neal Brown fire defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley. Special teams coordinator/inside linebackers coach Jeff Koonz was named the interim defensive coordinator.

Following a 2-4 start to the season, Baylor has won three games in a row to climb above .500. On this winning streak the Bears have topped Texas Tech (59-35), Oklahoma State (38-28) and TCU (37-24).

For a related story, WVU is a 3.5-point underdog at Cincinnati this Saturday.
