NJ DE Visits WVU, Awaiting Offer

Published

Salem (NJ) defensive end Joshua Johnson recently visited Morgantown and walked away impressed with what the Mountaineers had to offer.

“WVU has an amazing culture,” Johnson said of his time at West Virginia. “Unlike most visits I go to, this one didn’t have many recruits there so I got some good conversation with the new head coach, defensive coordinator and alumni.”

The 6-foot-4 Johnson currently holds an offer from Baylor and the possibility of playing in the Big 12 has the New Jersey native intrigued.

“I would definitely like to play in the Big 12. The competition is just as good as the SEC.”

Johnson doesn’t have any leaders at this time and is waiting until declaring a decision date.

Though West Virginia has yet to offer, Johnson plans on visiting again in the spring.
