The Big 12 announced Monday that Texas Tech at West Virginia will kick off at noon on Nov. 9.

This will be WVU’s second noon home game this season. The Mountaineers defeated NC State in a game at home on Sept. 14 that started at noon.

The Red Raiders (3-5, 1-4 Big 12) are on a bye this week after losing to Kansas on a last-second field goal this past Saturday. West Virginia will be coming off of this Thursday’s game in Waco, Texas against the undefeated Baylor Bears, where they hope to snap their current three-game losing streak.

In their meeting last season, the Mountaineers prevailed over then-No. 25 ranked Texas Tech 42-34 in Lubbock, Texas. The Red Raiders put together a late comeback attempt, scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter, but WVU held on for the victory. WVU quarterback Will Grier passed for 370 yards and three touchdowns while TTU quarterbacks were picked off three times.

The game will be broadcast on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
