Northwestern Transfer DB Commits to Join WVU Football Program

A transfer player is leaving the Big Ten for the Big 12 by joining the WVU football program. Northwestern defensive back transfer Jaheem Joseph announced his commitment to the Mountaineers on Monday.

Joseph (5-foot-10, 190 pounds, who will have two years of eligibility as a graduate transfer, commits to West Virginia less than 10 days after receiving an offer. He entered the transfer portal on Feb. 5.

The Florida native and Pace High School product totaled 24 tackles, three interceptions and one pass breakup in 13 games during the 2023 season. Joseph ended his career with the Wildcats in style. He intercepted two passes in their bowl win over Utah.

Joseph’s commitment comes just a few days after WVU sent an offer to his teammate at Northwestern Garnett Hollis Jr.
