Just like many others around the country, Pat McAfee was finally able to sit down and enjoy College Football 25 this week. After teasing his excitement, McAfee played as Garrett Greene and the Mountaineers on Wednesday.

And in typical McAfee fashion, the WVU legend turned media mogul posted a video of his experience on social media. “First time playing this game.. BIG thanks to the boys for the pointers and motivation GGโ€™s RUNNING WILD BROTHER My research is telling me Penn State wonโ€™t be able to tackle you, Garrett Greene. Letโ€™s GOOOOO,” said McAfee.

Fittingly, Greene and West Virginia scored a touchdown with McAfee at the controls.

Separate from his support of WVU, McAfee has been a fan of Greene for years and the two Mountaineers became even more aquatinted when McAfee spent a weekend in Morgantown to serve as a head coach during the annual Gold-Blue Game.

Greene helped lead McAfeeโ€™s Gold team to a victory in the spring game.

The much-anticipated College Football 25 video game is in the hands of fans like Pat McAfee who pre-ordered the game. And to steal EA Sportsโ€™ catchphrase, of course, the Mountaineers are in the game.
