Before we jump off the ledge or have more naming calling, let’s breathe.
The offensive can score but it will have a hard time against a really good defense. The penalties were a killer. The fumble was bad luck and lack of situational awareness. He should have gotten out of bounds or went down given the clock. Teachable moment. We’ll need him going forward.
The defense was offensive. It can make everyone a Heisman Trophy candidate.
Defensive lineman – Awful. Cannot generate a pass rush or stop the run.
Secondary – can we please get a little closer to the receivers and knock them off their routes? Without a pass rush, the opponents are playing throw and catch. The throws are too easy.
Some heads need to roll to shake things up. It cannot continue like this. How about a scheme or personnel change. We’ve been tourched for 40+ points two games in a row. There’s no way it can be any worse.
Let’s see if there are any changes for next week’s game.
