PSU DL Commit Informs WVSN of WVU Football OV Date
As the WVU football staff continues pursuing Penn State commits, they have an official visit scheduled with another one.
Defensive lineman Isaac Chukwurah tells WV Sports Now he is booked to visit Morgantown on Nov. 22. So while his trip to West Virginia will have to wait a few weeks, Chukwurah will get to experience the WVU program firsthand soon enough.
Despite still leaving a door open to stay true to Penn State, Chukwurah decided to consider other options in light of James Franklin’s firing. He’s now granting West Virginia every opportunity to win him over and flip him away from the Nittany Lions.
WVU’s path forward? Build a relationship with the 6-foot-2 and 260 pound-2026 product of Caravel Academy in Bear, Del. Chukwurah received his West Virginia offer after a conversation with defensive line coach William Green.
West Virginia has plenty of competition in their pursuit of the three-star lineman. Chukwurah is also being pursued by Boston College, Miami (FL), North Carolina State, Purdue and even Southern Miss. He even told WV Sports Now that he’s talked with Maryland and Rutgers even though they haven’t extended him an offer yet.
Prior to committing to Penn State in April of this year, Chukwurah had offers from Akron, Charlotte, Delaware, Kent State, Ohio, Temple, USF, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
