Report: Creighton Opts Out of Battle 4 Atlantis Field
Creighton is opting out of the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis field for the Players Era NIL event in Las Vegas, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander. A source tells Norlander that the Battle 4 Atlantis officials are looking to add another Big East team to replace the Bluejays.
Now the Battle 4 Atlantis will need to add one more team to complete the field. The seven teams that are scheduled for the event this November are Arizona, Davidson, Gonzaga, Indiana, Louisville, Oklahoma and West Virginia.

The Battle 4 Atlantis event will take place from Nov. 27-29 in the Bahamas. First-round matchups for the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis will be announced at a later date.
West Virginia was originally supposed to play in the 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis but the COVID-19 virus prevented the initial tournament from occurring. WVU ended up heading to South Dakota for the Bad Boy Mowers Invitational, which the Mountaineers won.
The Players Era tournament includes a field of Alabama, Creighton,ย Houston,ย Notre Dame,ย Oregon,ย Rutgers,ย San Diego Stateย andย Texas A&M. Each of the eight participating schools will receive $1 million in NIL money to spread out amongst the players. This is a first college basketball and teams are interested in taking advantage of the newest of the Name, Image and Likeness world.
