WVU Football Recruiting
WVU Football to Host One of Nation’s Top JUCO RBs for OV
After a season of inconsistency in the running back room, partly due to injuries to multiple to backs, the WVU football staff is on the hunt for as much talent as possible for their ground game.
To that end, West Virginia’s interest in one of the nation’s top junior college running backs has reached a new level. According to a report by Chris Hummer of 247 Sports, WVU will be hosting Martavious Boswell for an official visit in the coming days.
West Virginia will be Boswell’s first full visit out of three he has on his schedule. Boswell will leave WVU and then check out Kansas State on Nov. 24 and Mississippi State a few days later on Nov. 28. He’s just coming off a visit with Southern Miss.
247 Sports ranks Boswell (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) as the No. 2 junior college running back on the market.
He was recently named the MACCC (Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference) Offensive Player of the Year after running for 1,109 yards and scoring 13 touchdowns at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Fort Worth, Texas this season.
Boswell also has offers from schools like Charlotte, East Carolina, FAU, Liberty, Marshall and many others.
