WVU Basketball Continues to Secure High Transfer Class Rankings
WVU Basketball is in the process of flipping its roster for the 2024-25 season under first year head coach Darian DeVries. Let’s take a look at where West Virginia ranks in the country in regards to its transfer class.

The Portal Report ranks DeVries the No. 1 overall transfer and Small in the top 30.

West Virginia’s staff now has nine scholarship players with the other three being Ofri Naveh (returning), KJ Tenner (2024 guard) and Jonathan Powell (2024 guard). The Mountaineers can use up to four more scholarship spots during the offseason.
In 2023, West Virginia ranked second in transfer class rankings and 20th in 2022, according to 247 Sports.
