WVU fans are far from the only ones excited about Kevin Brown announcing his commitment live on the Pat McAfee Show. Other members of Rich Rodriguez’s 2026 recruiting class are thrilled to add Brown to their group, a group they believe will lead the Mountaineers back to glory.

Interior offensive line commit Rhett Morris, who has been locked in with WVU since June, and more recent offensive line commit Aidan Woods, who flipped from North Carolina on Nov. 10, shared their thoughts on social media.

The WVU football staff landed their โ€œbig fishโ€ and one of the top former Penn State commits on the market on Tuesday. Brown, a top offensive line prospect, ended his flirtation with West Virginia by committing live on the Pat McAfee Show.

Brownโ€™s commitment comes after taking an official visit in late October and even wearing WVU gloves while leading his high school team to a win.

A four-star recruit out of Harrisburg High School, Brown committed to Penn State in July of 2024. Brown ending up as a Mountaineer brings his football journey full circle for his family. His dad played for Rich Rodriguez during his first WVU tenure.

For an historical context, Brown now becomes WVU footballโ€™s highest rated national recruit since Noel Devine.

But beyond the legacy connection, West Virginia pursuing Brown so hards makes sense on the field above all else.

As a prospect, Brown is rated as the No. 2 in Pennsylvania in his class via 247 Sportsโ€™ Composite Rankings and a top 10 offensive tackle in the country.

Brown also visited Ohio State and had offers from major brands like Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee, Wisconsin among others.

I JUST HOPE SOMEONE PASSES THIS ON TO RROD,,, BUT WITH THE CHANGING OF THE GUARD AT VATECH,, ,MOSTLY MATT MOORE WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB,
AND WITH ALL THE GREAT COACHING UP OF WVU’S OFFENSIVE LINEMENT, RROD WOULD BE A FOOL NOT TO CONTACT COACH MOORE,,,HE’S RECRUITED AND TRAINED SEVERALWVU LINEMENT,AND ONE IMPORTANT ONE,, WITH THE NAME OF FRAZER, HAS MOORE TO THANK ON HIM BEING THE STARTING CENTER FOR THE STEELERS,

THIS MOST LIKELY WON’T EVER GET TO RROD, BUT IT’ RARE AIR WHEN YOU GET TWO SHOTS AT HIRING A GREAT COACH..

FOR GOODNESS SAKES RR, AT LEAST LOOK INTO IT, NOTHING VENTURED NOTHING GAINED.
