The eight-team field for the 2021 Charleston Classic has reportedly been set, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

It was reported last May that the Mountaineers would participate in the event. This will be WVU’s first appearance in the ESPN-run event, which has been contested annually since 2008. The 2020 Charleston Classic was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The eight teams reported in the 2021 event are:

  • WVU (19-10, 11-6 Big 12)
  • Ole Miss (16-12, 10-8 SEC)
  • Clemson (16-8, 10-6 ACC)
  • Marquette (13-14, 8-11 BIG EAST)
  • St. Bonaventure (16-5, 11-4 A-10)
  • Temple (5-11, 4-10 AAC)
  • Boise State (19-9, 14-6 MWC)
  • Elon (10-9, 4-7 CAA)
