Williams entered USC as 247’s number 73 overall player in the 2022 high school recruiting class. But due to a loaded receiver room and offense at USC, Williams was only able to make four catches for 34 yards during the 2022 season.
This visit with the Mountaineers comes after one with Wisconsin earlier in the week. While Wisconsin isn’t easy competition and believed to be the likely landing spot for Williams, the lack of veteran receivers at WVU may actually pose as a selling point for West Virginia. Williams may see WVU as a place he could immediately become the top guy and be able to truly show what he can do.
Either way, this is now something to keep an eye on.
