WVU Makes Late Run at Eastern Washington Transfer WR Freddie Roberson

There’s no position West Virginia has put more energy into trying to find this off-season than wide receiver. And the Mountaineers sent another offer on Saturday.
Eastern Washington transfer Freddie Roberson made the offer known with a tweet. Roberson caught 44 passes for 773 yards and scored seven touchdowns in 2022. He spent four years at Eastern Washington, but is only classified as a junior.

While WVU has been making a point to offer portal players, most notably receivers they want, early before other schools get in the mix, they are late in the game for Roberson. He has been receiving offers for weeks, including from major programs like Penn State and Virginia Tech.
Roberson has already announced his current top four schools and when he will make his final decision public. Based on his tweet from Dec. 23rd, Roberson has narrowed his list to Mississippi State, BYU, Fresno State and Washington State.
