Confirming earlier national reports, WVU safety Israel Boyce announced his plans to enter the transfer portal on Saturday night.

Boyce will now look for his second college program after spending two years under two different coaches at WVU. In 2025, Boyce appeared in all 12 games, starting once.

He finished with 30 total tackles, including 18 as solo, a pass breakup, a forced fumble and even a blocked punt. Boyce recorded a career-high seven tackles against Texas Tech to close the season and his Mountaineer career.

Boyce made 11 total tackles as a freshman in 2024. He will have two years left of eligibility.
