Several Kickoff Times Announced for WVU Football 2025 Schedule
The kickoff times and broadcast partners for four games of the 2025 WVU football schedule were released by the Big 12 Thursday morning.
The biggest announcement was the 108th Backyard Brawl against rival Pitt, which will be played Sept. 13 at 3:30 p.m. in Morgantown. WVU coach Rich Rodriguez’s first Backyard Brawl since 2007 will be nationally broadcast on ESPN.
WVU football will open the 2025 season on Aug. 30 with a 2 p.m. kickoff against Robert Morris. The game against the FCS opponent will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Mountaineers’ first road game comes on Sept. 6 at Ohio University at 4 p.m. The first game between the schools in Ohio since 1949 will be broadcast on ESPNU.
One Big 12 kickoff time was also announced Thursday, as WVU’s trip out west to BYU on Oct. 3 will kick off at 10:30 p.m. The Friday night game in Provo will and be broadcast on ESPN.
The kickoff times for all other Big 12 conference games, including the conference opener at Kansas on Sept. 20, will be announced by the league on either a six- or 12-day window.
