West Virginia basketball plans on hosting Iowa State transfer guard Caleb Grill for an official visit from April 16-18, a source told WV Sports Now.

Grill entered the transfer portal on March 30 and West Virginia made contact within hours.

Grill (6-foot-3) leaves Iowa State for the second time during his collegiate career after stepping away from the program in early March. Grill averaged 9.5 points on 37 percent shooting from three. Grill spent a season at UNLV following TJ Otzelberger back to ISU. Grill recorded a double double in Morgantown earlier this season, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.

Grill has one year of eligibility remaining.

West Virginia has hosted Arizona transfer guard Kerr Kriisa, receiving a commitment last week. WVU will also host Pitt transfer John Hugley from April 21-23.
