Texas Tech Could Be Burned Out vs. WVU After High Emotions of Chris Beard’s Homecoming
Every college basketball fan tuned into Tuesday’s Big 12 matchup between Texas Tech and Texas. Former TTU head coach Chris Beard made his first trip back to Lubbock since leaving the Red Raiders to become the head coach at Texas, his alma mater.
Texas Tech students made sure that Beard’s first trip back was miserable.

30 police officers and 15,000 angry Red Raider fans did indeed make Beard’s first trip back a rough one. Texas Tech controlled the entire game, winning 77-64. For some of these players, this was an emotional night. TTU went after the transfer portal once Mark Adams took over for Beard, but there were still players on that team that were going against their former coach.
Could Saturday’s matchup against WVU be a trap game for Texas Tech?
After Tuesday’s fiasco, including their longest trip in the air to Morgantown on Saturday, it could be expected for Texas Tech to come out slow.
If so, can West Virginia take advantage?
