The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia University Athletics.

Update (6:45 p.m.) –

West Virginia football has offered wide receiver Terrance Moore Jr. (6-foot-3, 190-pounds) from Tampa Catholic High School, the same school as four-star defensive lineman Xavier Porter who was offered today as well and written about below.

Moore isn’t rated on 247Sports, so he isn’t as highly touted as Porter, but has gotten several notable offers. In addition to West Virginia, he’s received offers from Auburn, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Toledo, UCF and USF.

Update (1:50 p.m.) –

West Virginia has offered four-star defensive lineman Xavier Porter (6-foot-4, 250-pounds). He’s a four-star recruit on Rivals and On3, but 247Sports has him as a three-star. They’re composite rankings though, which is based on what the consensus is saying about a recruit, have him as a four-star.

Porter comes from Tampa Catholic High School in Tampa, Florida. West Virginia is his 13th offer following Ball State, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Florida State, Iowa State, Louisville, Marshall, NC State, Wake Forest, USF and UCF.
