The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia University Athletics.

Update (8:00 am) –

Before the Backyard Brawl on the gridiron kicks off on Thursday night, another edition of the WVU-Pitt rivalry will take place on the soccer pitch. The West Virginia men’s soccer team will take on Pitt in Pittsburgh Monday night at 7 pm.

But unlike this year’s football rivalry, the soccer game will be a battle between to top ten teams. The Mountaineers are ranked 6 while the the Panthers are at number 7.
