WVU Basketball Gets in Mix for Top 2026 Center Prospect
Ross Hodge and his WVU basketball staff extended an offer to a popular 2026 recruit on Saturday. In an effort to build size for years to come, West Virginia offered the 6-foot-11 Aliou Dioum, as he announced on X.
A highly coveted center prospect, Dioum’s WVU offer comes after he scheduled some official visits, most notably to Wake Forest. Dioum will now most likely be headed to Morgantown to check out WVU as well.

At 200 pounds, Dioum, who attends Bella Vista Prep in Colorado, already has the size to handle the Big 12 and fit in nicely with the type of team Hodge is trying to build. His recruitment is now one to watch for WVU fans.
247 Sports rates Dioum as the No. 10 player in Arizona and within the top 120 in the country for his class.
He also has offers from Arizona State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Loyola, Missouri, Ole Miss, Illinois, Syracuse and Wake Forest.
