After spending the offseason building his 2025 roster, WVU basketball head coach Ross Hodge is now looking ahead and recruiting 2026. With that in mind, West Virginia sent an offer to a 2026 combo guard.

Jermal Jones,  a 6-foot-3, 180 pound guard out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., revealed his WVU offer on June 15.

Jones carries four stars from 247 Sports, who rank him as the No. 40 overall player among the 2026 prospects. This makes Jones their third best combo guard and seventh best Florida player.

Jones also has prominent offers from Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida State, Mississippi State, Purdue, Washington among others.

Recently, Jones gained popularity due to his performances at the NBPA Top 100 Camp for high school players.

Jones is one of Hodge’s first high school offers for 2026.
