WVU Commit Rodney Gallagher to Donate Gear with Proceeds to Children’s Hospital
West Virginia football commit Rodney Gallagher III has already made a name for himself in the Morgantown area before even arriving.
The 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver from Laurel Highlands High School is the sixth-highest rated recruit in West Virginia history on 247Sports’ recruiting services. He’s also the top recruit under the Neal Brown era.
Now, the four-star prospect is making an impact off the field as well.
Gallagher has created a website, selling t-shirts and sweatshirts that support him and his upcoming senior season on the gridiron, with all proceeds going to the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

According to a post on Twitter from Gallagher’s sister, Alyssa, donations to the hospital reached the $1,000 mark from sales efforts last year.
“We are ready (to) continue to do what he loves most, making a difference for kids,” Alyssa Gallagher said in the tweet.
The website features six different designs for both t-shirts and sweatshirts, with sizes ranging from youth to adult. There is a current flash sale promotion where if an order is placed by midnight on Sept. 7, it can be picked up for free.
