West Virginia quarterback JT Daniels has been named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List for the 2022 season.

The award is given annually to the nation’s top upperclassmen quarterback in college football.

Daniels is joined by 75 other players on the list, which is the largest selection pool in the history of the award. The Big Ten Conference leads the way with 13 selections.

The 2022 award winner will be presented the Golden Arm Award trophy by The Johnny Unitas Educational Foundation President, John Unitas, Jr., at the Golden Arm Award banquet and celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland.

Daniels played at the University of Georgia for two seasons before transferring to West Virginia in June.

The new WVU quarterback has also been named to the watchlists for the Maxwell Award and the Walter Camp award.

He was also a member of the University of Southern California football team prior to Georgia, has completed 389 of 610 passes for 4,840 yards with 32 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in four combined college seasons.
