WVU Fans Reiterate Disdain for Neal Brown After Lubbock Disaster
Watching West Virginia’s regular season end in embarrassing fashion sparked a furious reaction from WVU fans all over social media.
The comments below are just some of what members of Mountaineer Nation had to say while watching Texas Tech destroy WVU 52-15.
Not an excuse. This team didn’t want to play from the start. Coaches didn’t get them ready per usual. Embarrassing for the fans. Brown needs to go and people need to start asking the tough questions.

I want this era to end, as of years ago

WVU football has become unwatchable. pic.twitter.com/4lvQJuNAtG

The last 2 games WVU has won the was when the Cincy QB gave them the game and the other was playing UCFs 4th string QB. Any other team with a QB with a pulse has been problematic and down right embarrassing.

We are actually lucky to only be down 25. This place be could(will) get really ugly.

I’ve said this many times. WVU has zero identity as a football program. They have no clue how they want to play, and therefore what type of guy to recruit. There’s no culture being set. Just a collection of guys being thrust together in hopes of magically working out.

Well, to the effect that this game was gonna weigh into the decision on what to do with Neal, this is about as definitive as it gets.
But I’d argue it’s silly that this game have any impact. You’ve had 6 years of the worst #WVU football in 2 generations.

West Virginia University has been represented on a national level by 3 programs this week. The Mountaineer Marching Band, Basketball, and Football.
All the hard work of the first 2 to just be completely embarrassed by the final.
Come on…

TO WREN BAKER, THIS DEFINITELY WAS A STATEMENT GAME, ONE THAT LEFT NO DOUBT HOW PITIFUL NEAL BROWN IS AS A HUMAN AND AS A HEAD COACH… NO QUESTION WHAT HAS TO BE DONE NOW,, IF I WERE THE AD , I WOULD NOT ALLOW BROWN TO COACH ANOTHER GAME NOR FLY BACK ON THE PLANE TO MORGANTOWN,, BROWN HAS DRAGGED THIS PROGRAM DOWN INTO THE MUD LIKE NO COACH IN RECENT HISTORY,, HE’S JUST A TERRIBLE COACH, THERE IS NOT DIRECTION NOW BUT TO FIRE HIS DEAD BEAT ASS.i say, if baker wont fire him then both need fired asap

I know a lot of people are excited about Jimbo and although I find it intriguing I think his ship has sailed and he’s sitting on a pot of gold and why would he do it? The better option for us is Rich Rod who’s in the game Big Time coaching in a hot bed of talent of Florida and it’s a mountaineer through and through he’s done it before and he would do it again

Daniel, Jacksonville State is in Alabama, not Florida.

Coach Brown is a descent man and his family have gone through some very rough times here in Morgantown. Do I think he should be replaced, yes…but please be respectful to Coach Brown and his family. We are so consumed with winning and the losing that we’ve lost some of our humanity…in the end it’s just a game.
