WVU Football Adds Another Commitment in 2026 3-Star CB Emari Peterson

Continuing their hot streak, the WVU football staff kicked off the new week with another commitment. On Monday, 2026 Florida based cornerback Emari Peterson revealed his commitment to West Virginia after getting back home from his trip to Morgantown.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Peterson referred to his commitment as “dreams to reality” when posting about it on social media.
He selected West Virginia over offers from major programs like Georgia Tech, LSU and Wake Forest as well as others from schools like Appalachian State, Charlotte, East Carolina, FAU, Liberty, Southern Miss and Toledo among others.
Peterson attends Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, Fla. Both ESPN and Rivals have awarded Peterson three stars.
WVU cornerback coach led in the recruitment of Peterson and secured his commitment after his official visit over the weekend. West sent Peterson an offer on May 14.
