WVU Football Brings in More QB Competition in Transfer Max Brown

Rich Rodriguez and the WVU football staff added another transfer quarterback to the mix on Monday night when Charlotte transfer Max Brown announced his commitment.

Brown completed 43-of-93 pass attempts for 561 yards, three touchdowns and six interceptions in five games during the 2024 season. This included missing time with an injury to his throwing hand. He entered the transfer portal on the first day the recent window opened on Dec. 1.

Brown started his college career at Florida before transferring to Charlotte. He was a redshirt in 2022 and then served as a backup the following season. In six games with Florida, he completed 19-of-28 pass attempts for 192 yards.

He has two years of eligibility remaining.

In addition to the returning Nicco Marchiol, West Virginia alsoย secured a commitment from Texas A&M dual-threat transfer Jaylen Henderson.
