WVU Football commit Montavin Quisenberry

A WVU football commit showed why West Virginia coaching staff recruited the three-star Kentucky athlete on Friday night. Montavin Quisenberry (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) scored three total touchdowns while leading the No. 1 team in the state to a dominating win.

Quisenberry, who announced his commitment to WVU on June 21, accumulated 148 yards from work as receiver and on the ground. He also threw a successful two-point conversion in Boyle County’s 51-7 victory over Lexington Catholic.

Considered a three-star prospect by multiple national recruiting outlets, Quisenberry plays both wide receiver and defensive back at Boyle County High School in Danville, Ky. He also stars as a point guard on the basketball team and is considered one of the top overall athletes in Kentucky.

Most recruiting outlets classify Quisenberry as an athlete, but On3.com does have him listed as a wide receiver. He’s ranked within the top 10 Kentucky prospects in his class by most national recruiting outlets.

Quisenberry’s offers include Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Michigan, Ole Miss, Toledo, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
