The Mountaineers will play each team once while playing five opponents for a second time, as the Big 12 moves to a 20-game league slate.

There are a lot of changes in Big 12 basketball for the 2024-25 season. The conference officially adds Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah this summer while losing Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC. The Big 12 will also move to a 20-game conference schedule, making the already grueling slate even harder.

WVU is entering its first season under head coach Darian DeVries from Drake. DeVries and his new staff completely flipped the roster as they only return rising sophomore Ofri Naveh. West Virginia brings top transfers Tucker DeVries (F – Drake) and Javon Small (G – Oklahoma State) to lead the way with other adds being Sencire Harris (G – Illinois), Amani Hansberry (F – Illinois), Toby Okani (F – UIC), Eduardo Andre (C – Fresno State), Joseph Yesufu (G – Washington State), Jayden Stone (G – Detroit Mercy) and many others.
