Watch: WVU HC Darian DeVries Offers Iowa United Prep Bigs
WVU HC Darian DeVries extended a pair of offers to Iowa United Prep big men Arafan Diane and Samuel Mbingazo. Both prospects are a part of the 2026 class.
In the X post below, Diane and Mbingazo are on a video call with DeVries, who let them know that they’ve picked up offers from West Virginia. WVU assistant Kory Barnett watched the two play the week prior.

Diane is 6-foot-11 while Mbingazo is 6-foot-9.
In other news, WVU basketball associate head coach Chester Frazier visited 2026 prospect Josh Powell at Skyline Prep (Az.) on Wednesday, the guard told WV Sports Now.
Powell, 6-foot-5, is considered a four-star recruit by ESPN and a three-star by Rivals.
Powell, a native of New York, has picked up offers from Albany, Arizona State, Bryant, Illinois, Marist, Mississippi State, Norfolk State, Texas A&M and others.
