In the midst of all of the basketball news, the WVU football team has been off for spring break. But with the players taking a pause from spring practice, the staff has still been working with their eyes on the upcoming spring portal window.

Earlier in the week, West Virginia sent an offer to a Sincere Brown, a transfer wide receiver they could be looking to elevate in the interest of depth. After admitting wide receiver will be a position to focus on when adding more transfers, Rich Rodriguez offered Brown on Tuesday.

Brown, who most recently spent the 2024 season at Campbell, started his college career at USF. But after only playing in eight games in three years with the Bulls, Brown was able to showcase himself more at Campbell. He officially entered the transfer portal on March 17.

The Charleston, S.C. native made 61 receptions for 1,028 yards and scored 12 touchdowns while averaging 16.9 yards per catch.

While there could be concern Brown has only produced at a lower level school and couldn’t get in games at Group of 5 program, his true value can also be seen in who else is interested in him.

In addition to the Mountaineers, Brown has recent offers from Power Four schools like Arkansas, Cal, Louisville, North Carolina, Michigan, Texas A&M and Wake Forest. Utah State has also offered Brown.

Some of Brown’s highlights can be seen in the embedded video below.
