Wanting to get in the mix as early as possible, the WVU football program sent an offer to one of the top 2027 talents on Monday. Quentin Burrell announced his West Virginia offer right after revealing another one from Big 12 school.

Burrell (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) is already considered a four-star wide receiver prospect and has seen his recruitment pick up steam in recent weeks. Arizona State, Auburn, Indiana, Penn State and Stanford have offered Burrell just in the last two weeks alone.

A product of Mount Caramel High School in Chicago, Ill., Burrell is ranked as a consensus top five player in Illinois. He made 75 receptions for 1,257 yards and scored 18 touchdowns during his most recent high school season in 2024, one that earned him all-conference honors and ended with a state championship.

Power Four programs like Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin have already been in on Burrell. He posted about Iowa on May 8.
