WVU Football Joins Several P4 Programs in Offering Colorado State Transfer DL
In an effort to find experienced depth, the WVU football program sent an offer to Colorado State transfer defensive lineman Gabe Kirschke. A late entrant to the transfer portal from the December window, Kirschke revealed his West Virginia offer late Sunday night.
The Mountaineers joined other major programs like Houston, Kansas, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Purdue and Wake Forest to offerย Kirschke.

Listed at 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Kirschke, a Lone Tree, Colo. native, is transferring from Colorado State after one season. He receded 42 total tackles, three pass deflections, an interception and booth a forced fumble and fumble recovery during the 2024 season with CSU.
Prior to joining Colorado State, he only appeared in only one game and made one tackle in two years at Wisconsin.
