WVU Football Making a Run at 2027 4-Star Alabama Safety

The WVU football staff sent a slew of recent new offers to high school recruits, including one to a four-star safety.

Jaylen Scott, listed at 6-foot and 170 pounds, announced his West Virginia offer on social media last week.

Regarded as one of the top five prospects out of Alabama, Scott attends Williamson High School in Mobile. He’s also ranked as one of the top 20 safeties in the country for his class by 247 Sports.

WVU now joins Scott’s impressive offer list that’s highlighted by Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UCF and Vanderbilt.

He also has opportunities on the table from the likes of Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Marshall, South Alabama, South Florida,
